GOP: Stimulus packed with pork

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- The House on Wednesday evening passed an $819 billion economic stimulus package Wednesday on a party-line vote, despite President Obama's efforts to achieve bipartisan support for the bill.

The final vote was 244 to 188. No Republicans voted for the bill, while 11 Democrats voted against it.

... to which I say, in my most authentic Boston accent, "ARE YOU SHITTIN' ME???"

I wish I got a bailout or a tax break or a stimulus. I feel like Neil Young..."there's a bailout comin', but it's not for me." But, at least I'm single, white, and way past 21....a mannish boy!!

Funny you should mention that Mannish Boy. I'm reading "Delta Blues" by Ted Gioia. Amazing how after reading so much about the genre and location, there are still so many fascinating facts. About Muddy, RL Johnson, Son House, John Lee and all the rest. Makes me yearn for a few minutes at the intersection of highway 49 and highway 61.

Yeah, you're single and white... and in the AARP zone. Live it up!
