Finding Jesus...

Some days (like yesterday), He's everywhere you look...
this one's for the Mortal Jivester, in absentia.

The Shadow of Jesus with his Disciples, on corrugated metal.

Bowing Before the Shadow of Jesus, in the Evans Valley.

Sail on home to jesus won't you good girls and boys
I'm all in pieces, you can have your own choice
But I can hear a heavenly band full of angels
And they're coming to set me free
I don't know nothing 'bout the why or when
But I can tell that its bound to be
Because I could feel it, child, yeah
On a country road

Does the Lord get mail?
Oh, and don't even ask about those newspaper boxes...

So you found Jesus. I didn't know you were looking. I thought Hatuey would convert before you would.

As the Spaniards proceeded to try to convert the Indians in the Caribbean circa 1500, they took Chief Hatuey hostage, tied him to a stake and threatened to burn him if he didn't convert as an example to his people.

"Look, Hatuey, we don't want to do this but if you'll convert to Christianity, then all of your people will too and we won't have to burn you, capice?"
"Let me see, says Hatuey....if I convert to christianity, I can go to heaven right?"....
Right, they said.
"And when I go to heaven, all you guys will be there too..right?"
Yes, we'll all be in heaven together, they said.
"Burn me...."
